Who looks more threatening?!!!
I was at Lassis Inn waiting on my dinner to come out while watching CNN. I was half paying attention to the headlines when I heard the story of " Trayvon Martin," being aired, it captured my full attention. I have heard stories similiar to this before but something about this particular story struck me in the pit of my stomach and tugged at my heart strings. My son is the exact same age of this young man and same height. As I listened to the details of this story, I found myself becoming angry. Since hearing about this story nearly two weeks ago, I am obsessed with the recent updates and details concerning this case. They know who the killer is, yet the killer of this 17 year old is still FREE. He disobeyed orders from the 911 dispatcher ordering him to stay inside of his car and not follow Trayvon. Instead, he gets out of his car and follows this young man even though police were on the way. He is breathing heavy and slurring his words; the police should have been called out to check on his behavior. I don't believe Trayvon was a threat at all. There was just this vigilante who had something against black males and labeled this young man suspicious! He gunned down this innocent child who was not armed carrying only skittles and ice tea on his way back to his dad's girlfriends condo!!! I am appalled at the police department, and our justice system as a whole. There are witnesses who can attest to the fact this young man was screaming out for help prior to being gunned down like a dog! The police want to change up these witnesses stories. There are as many holes in this story as swiss cheese and in order for this story not to die and a hope of justice to be served, WE HAVE TO BE THE VOICE of Trayvon Martin that was silenced due to senseless act of agression that took his life! I don't want my son to have to deal with this type of social injustice and prejudice because of the color of his skin! When it comes down to it, that is what this was about. Local authorities refuse to arrrest this fool so you tell me what the issue is?! Please sign the petition and let your voice be heard. If it were child, cousin, nephew, etc you would want the world to stand up and defend your child.
